The massage head of the massage gun is not a universal accessory. Its material, shape and functional design directly affect the massage effect and safety. Choosing the right massage head is the key to the effectiveness of the massage gun.

Material selection needs to take into account both hardness and comfort. Common silicone materials have moderate elasticity and are suitable for daily muscle relaxation; EVA materials have higher hardness and are mostly used for deep massage and relaxation; some professional models use food-grade TPE materials, which are more skin-friendly and suitable for sensitive muscle groups. The hardness of the material needs to match the massage intensity to avoid soft tissue damage caused by excessive hardness.

The shape design corresponds to different body parts. The spherical head is round and full, with a large contact area, suitable for relaxation of large muscle groups such as thighs and buttocks, and can evenly disperse pressure; the flat head has a smooth edge, which can stimulate the medium muscle groups such as shoulders, back, waist and abdomen in a targeted manner to relieve muscle tension; the conical head has a slender top, which can accurately act on small muscle groups and acupoints such as soles and palms, and deeply loosen adhesion massage; the U-shaped head is designed with a groove to fit the protruding parts of bones such as the cervical spine and Achilles tendon to avoid direct impact on the bones.

Function adaptation needs to be combined with the usage scenario. For post-exercise recovery, it is recommended to use a spherical head with a low-frequency mode to relieve lactic acid accumulation; for office workers to relieve stiff shoulders and necks, a U-shaped head with a medium-frequency mode is optional; for professional fitness people to relax deeply, a cone head with a high-frequency mode is more effective. When using, please note that the cone head is prohibited near the bones, and the flat head should be avoided for a long time on the joints.

The frequency of replacement of the massage head is also particular. It is recommended to replace the silicone material every 6-8 months. If cracks or reduced elasticity occur, it needs to be replaced immediately to ensure that the massage head is always in the best condition and the massage gun can achieve maximum performance under the premise of safety.
